KAC Lodge, Thredbo

The Club opened what was previously known as Punchinello lodge for the 1994 winter season - after considerable refurbishment. The lodge is located in the centre of the Village at 7 Banjo Drive.

All the front bedrooms have panoramic views of the mountains and all rooms have en suites. KAC Thredbo operates throughout summer and winter on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Parking is available at the front of the lodge for a limited number of cars, in summer only.  Parking is NOT available in winter.

The lodge is licensed for 48 beds, with two large rooms with ensuites containing accommodation for six (suitable for use as a family suite or bunk room). The dining area contains a bar with refrigerator, freezer and microwave. Packets of instant soup, tea, coffee and milk are always available in the bar area. A games room contains a TV and video. Linen and towels are supplied. There is also a laundry.

Thredbo, in summer, has many and varied activities such as fishing, riding, golf and bush walking. There is a community swimming pool, with training areas etc. There are also theme weeks and weekends such as Mountain Bike Challenge, Health and Fitness, Jazz and Blues Festival and Artist in Residence.

KAC also organises its own calendar of special events e.g. “International Food Fair” weekend in June and ‘Everyone at Members’ Shoulder rate’ week and Interclub racing in August.

During winter, Thredbo Village arranges for a continual mini bus service throughout the Village, which provides a pick-up and drop off from the front of the lodge to the ski slopes.
