2025 Thredbo Junior Interclub Ski Racing
For the first time in its long history KAC will be entering a race team into the Annual Thredbo Junior Interclub Ski Races to be held on Tuesday 8th July (the second week of the upcoming School Holidays).
The KAC Junior Race Team is open to all KAC members under 18 years of age – join the fun!
2025 Interclub Competition Details:
- Three age categories: 11 years and under, 12 to 14 years and 15 to 18 years.
- Perpetual Team/Club trophies are awarded to the teams with the fastest combined times of two runs on the Tuesday in each category, as well as an overall Champion Club Trophy.
- Perpetual Individual trophies are awarded to the boys and girls in each age group with the fastest combined times of two runs on the Tuesday in each category, as well as an overall Fastest Skier Trophy.
- The Interclub is held on the Rossi Race Course. Racing commences at 10:00am on Tuesday 8th July.
- A presentation ceremony is held at the completion of racing at the Keller Bar, Thredbo Alpine Hotel.
KAC has organised (and is fully funding) private 3-hour race lessons on Sunday 6th and Monday 7th July for those who commit to racing on the Tuesday. Additionally, KAC will pay the race entry fee for each competitor. Competitors will also receive a specially made 2025 KAC Junior Race Team hoodie.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our Junior Members to obtain race training and competition experience in a fun and supportive environment, without any additional cost to parents.
Members Accommodation:
The Junior Race Team and the Interclub competition is open to ALL KAC junior members even if you are not staying in-house at Thredbo.
If you’re staying at Perisher and Charlotte Pass and wish to join the team, you are welcome to do so. Unfortunately, we are unable to organise transport between lodges this year but 2026 will a more expansive race program!
