Getting There

Perisher is an easy 6 hour drive from Sydney via Canberra and Cooma or 7 hours from Melbourne with more than half the distance on freeway standard or dual carriage roads. The Kosciuszko Road accesses Perisher from Jindabyne, however only day parking is available at Perisher Resort.  For overnight stays, it is highly recommended to use Skitube, from Bullocks Flat.  Use the Alpine Way from Jindabyne to access Bullocks Flat.  The Skitube at Bullocks Flat takes 15mins to get up to Perisher.

Motorists are legally required to carry properly fitting chains in any vehicle other than 4WD’s in a ‘snow-ice’ risk section within the National Park. It’s an easy half hour drive from Jindabyne in good weather. Entry to the National Park is $27 per car per day in winter and $16 per car per day in summer. Annual passes are $190.* (further information on the NPWS Park Use fees can be located here)
