Alpenhof, Perisher Blue
The Lodge operates in winter only.
The Alpenhof Lodge with a capacity of 20 beds was acquired by the KAC in 1974. It was immediately extended by adding two bedrooms on the southern side (rooms 6 and 7). The following year a new wing was added on the eastern side, providing 5 twin rooms with en suite bathrooms and 3 bunk rooms. In 1987 the lounge/dining areas were extended resulting in a larger dining room, more spacious lounge area and bigger sundeck. An open fireplace and bigger bar were built in the new lounge area. Downstairs, a new ski room was built and a games room with TV/Video player was provided. The Managers’ flat, staff accommodation and room 11 were also rebuilt. Renovations were carried out in early 1997 to provide toilets to all rooms and to up-grade Rooms 6 and 7. During the Summer of 1997/98 rooms 8 - 10 and 12 - 16 were repainted and up-graded plus the mezzanine lounge and hallways
Alpenhof provides first class accommodation for 42 guests with dinner, bed and breakfast included in the tariff. The dining area contains a bar with refrigerator, freezer and microwave. Packets of instant soup, tea, coffee and milk are always available in the bar area.
The lodge is ideally situated, being close to front valley and the Skitube, and gives our Members ready access to the Perisher Blue Ski resort.
